Young Adults @ DBBC

Whether you’re entering university life, launching your career, navigating parenthood for the first time, or figuring out faith in the real world — you’re welcome here.

Our Young Adults Ministry exists to cultivate a Christ-centered community of people in their late teens to late 20’s who are hungry to grow in faith, build authentic friendships, and live with purpose in every season of life.

We gather on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month for potluck dinners, discussion in God’s Word, and lots of laughter and encouragement along the way. You don’t need to have it all figured out—just come as you are.

Our Goals:

  • Spiritual Formation – We want to go deep in Scripture and apply it to real life. Our discussion is rooted in books of the Bible and designed to help us know God more and walk closely with Him. This Fall we are studying the book of Philippians.

  • Authentic Community – Young adulthood can feel lonely. We’re here to build a space where friendships can grow across different life stages—from students to working professionals to young marrieds.

  • Leadership Development – We believe young adults aren’t just the future of the Church—you’re the Church right now. We want to see each person equipped to lead and disciple others, both inside and outside the church.

  • Missional Living – We encourage each other to live out our faith through service, hospitality, and gospel-centered lives in our church, workplaces, schools, and city.

We also host occasional social nights, service projects, and men’s/women’s events to help deepen connection and live out what we’re learning.

Most of all, we want to see every young adult not just connected to a group, but rooted in Christ—and actively invested in the life and mission of Departure Bay Baptist Church.

We’d love to have you join us!
